EU Extract unit

Extract air handling units are suitable for installation in a variety of sites and are configured to remove air from a variety of different environments. They can remove clean or stale air, as well as air filled with pollutants or particulate, and smoke. This makes them particularly suitable for sectors such as retail, health, industry, distribution, pharmaceuticals, distribution, and data. Removing dirty air is vital to ensuring the health of your site and the wellbeing of occupants. An efficient and safe extract system will ensure your site is comfortable and safe and will guard against issues like sick building syndrome.

Efficiency

ECE UK extract units can include a number of different fans depending on application. Whether the exhaust air is stale, clean, or dirty it can be extracted with axial fans, plug fans, or single inlet single width and double inlet double width centrifugal fans with either forwards, backwards, or airfoil blades. The fans are driven by EC or AC induction electric motors mounted internally or externally to the airstream. The fans can operate at a single speed, a variety of set speeds (belt and pulley change) or be driven by an inverter to allow a wide range of air flow rates.

Net zero carbon

We design our extract units to run as efficiently as possible to help reduce your site’s carbon emissions. This is part of a global initiative to reduce carbon emissions following the 2016 Paris Agreement. Your extract unit will be energy efficient and easily monitored and adjusted with smart controls to help reduce your site’s environmental impact.

Factory acceptance test

Our engineers will conduct a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on your extract unit. This is a series of checks completed after its manufacture in our factory to verify that your unit will work as designed, is safe to operate, and is built to specification. The reports from these checks and other documents will be accessible through our secure client portal:

  • Completed FAT protocol
  • Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) manual
  • Recommended spare parts lists
  • Certificates of compliance
  • As-built certified drawings
  • Air tightness certificate
  • Filter DOP certificate
